PSHE

Families and Relationships

Throughout this topic, we focused our learning around relationships. We discussed the importance of friendship boundaries and describes what we do and don’t accept in a healthy friendship. We explored the differences between us all and respecting this. We learnt about stereotyping based on gender, age and disability, and the harmful effects of bullying. We considered ways that we could support someone who was going through bereavement and thought of things we could say or do to be supportive at this time.

Health and Wellbeing

In PSHE, we have been focusing on Health and Wellbeing. We looked at oral health, diet, ways to relax and how to use visualisation to be positive. We also looked at different emotions and how everybody reacts differently to an event.

Safety and The Changing Body

Throughout this topic, we have learnt all about how to keep our bodies healthy, by looking at the changes and the effects that making unhealthy choices can have on our bodies. Whilst our Year 4 children have learnt all about the changes that can happen to the body during puberty, our Year 3 children have learnt all about the emergency services and their purpose. Alongside this, we have further looked into how to stay safe online and recognise when something online can be dangerous.
