A Welcome from the Head Teacher

A Warm Welcome to Blackrod Primary School

I would like to take this opportunity to extend a warm welcome to Blackrod Primary School. Blackrod Primary School is a highly successful, popular school in the North-West of Bolton. The key to our success is our love of life and learning within a school where children feel cared for, supported, respected and safe.

We always strive for academic excellence and provide an exciting, fun and enriching curriculum for all our children. We help every child fulfil their potential and we celebrate everyone’s uniqueness and the gifts, creativity and talents they have. Every child is precious to us, and it is a privilege to play a part in their development.

Our staff are high performing professionals who go above and beyond expectations to make a difference to our children’s lives. Together we create a happy, secure, inspiring and purposeful environment. We provide children with the skills, knowledge, resilience, enthusiasm, optimism and life skills which will equip them to lead a rewarding and happy life and help them to achieve their aspirations.

We value our work with parents and our wider community. Working in partnership ensures that our children have the best support, curriculum, and enrichment opportunities to help them to learn both within and outside of the school day. We work closely with other schools and educational professionals, continually challenging ourselves to develop our thinking; this helps ensure that our practice is exceptional.

Our values are bravery, love, aspiration, creativity, knowledge, respectfulness, optimism, and determination. We believe that these values are essential for children to thrive and succeed in life.

We hope that by visiting our website, you will love our school as much as we do and will find the information you need. However, you are welcome to visit our school and we would be pleased to answer questions you may have so please don't hesitate to contact us to arrange a visit or call.

Thank You,

Katherine Mead
