Arthur and the Golden Rope 

Endpoint: To write a myth based upon a story with a similar theme. 

In this unit, Mahlangu focussed on applying a range of relative clauses and the use of adverbials to link their paragraphs. They also used a range of descriptive devices to clarify and add detail to their writing. Our pupils gave clear, purposeful feedback to each other using their success criteria to guide their discussion. We are incredibly proud of their writing journeys! The Water Tower

We studied the book The Water Tower by Gary Crews, which is a mysterious picture book.  We also enjoyed a workshop with Simon Sullivan to help us explore the text and then we wrote reports and trailers about the book.
