Starting School
We believe that starting School is an important time for every family and we try to make the transition from home a happy and secure one. Our new children visit the Picasso classroom in the half term before starting, initially with a parent or carer. This `get to know you' time helps dispel anxiety for the children (and parents/carers). We admit the new children on a half daily basis at the beginning of term for the first three days. This enables the teacher to talk to new parents and children individually. All our procedures are shared with Parents during a New Intake Parents' Meeting held in June. This meeting gives the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. An Information Pack is also provided at the meeting.
We encourage parents and carers to use our website to access information about our school or alternatively, contact the School Office office@blackrod.bolton.sch.uk
