School Performance Information
The link below tells you about performance of pupils at this school at Key Stage 2 (school years 3 to 6), which are the last four years of the primary phase of education.
School Performance Data
Children in school are formally assessed in Year 6 before they leave Blackrod to attend secondary school. These tests assess the children's attainment and progress at the end of Key Stage Two.
In May, they undertake statutory tests (SATS) in Reading, Mathematics and Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar which are marked externally. They also receive a writing result which is internally assessed, based on their ongoing writing in school. This is the data used to compile the information used by the DFE and can be accessed by clicking on the links above.
Information regarding assessments in Primary Education
Children are assessed using the statutory Reception Baseline Assessment (RBA) in the first six weeks of Reception class and then through baseline assessments against the Early Learning Goals completed on entry into the Foundation Stage. Children are assessed against the Early Learning Goals and their achievements reported at the end of the EYFS Reception year.
Children’s progress is assessed throughout their school career with teacher assessments and termly NTS tests in Years 1 – 6. This informs future teaching and learning, the information is shared with parents during Parent/Carer meetings in autumn and spring and reported in a child's annual report in the summer term.
In addition; statutory Phonics screening takes place in Year One, a statutory Multiplication Tables Check takes place in Year 4 and the KS2 Assessments (SATS) take place in Year 6.
We are very proud of the attainment and achievement of all our children.
Please see below for information for parents regarding statutory assessments
